13)Which flag was not raised in 1953 by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay at the top of the Mt Everest?
a)Indian
b)Nepalese
c)British
d)New Zealand
Edmund Hillary did not carry his national flag!
Mr Hillary took several photographs of the scenery and of Sherpa Tenzing waving flags representing Britain, Nepal, the United Nations and India.
Hillary has recently spoken of his disdain for the attitudes displayed by many modern mountaineers. In particular he publicly criticised New Zealander Mark Inglis and 40 other climbers who, in various groups, left British climber David Sharp to die in May 2006. He said "I think the whole attitude towards climbing Mount Everest has become rather horrifying. The people just want to get to the top, it was wrong if there was a man suffering altitude problems and was huddled under a rock, just to lift your hat, say good morning and pass on by." He also told the New Zealand Herald that he was horrified by the callous attitude of today’s climbers. "They don’t give a damn for anybody else who may be in distress and it doesn’t impress me at all that they leave someone lying under a rock to die.".

6)Which bird can rotate its head 270 degrees?
a)Crow
b)Nightingale
c)Owl
d)Peacock

Owls appear to be able to rotate their head completely around. This total rotation is just an illusion. Often, they sit with their head looking over their shoulder to prevent predators from sneaking up behind them. If they hear a noise which they can't see the source, they will turn their head quickly to the front, then to the other shoulder. This rotation is about 270 degrees of a circle, not 360 degrees. For comparison, a flexible human can turn their head less than 180 degrees.
Try it! Extend both your arms to shoulder height straight out from your sides. Look as far to the right as you can. Now move your head to look as far left as you can. You will find that your chin will not be quite in line with your arm on either side.
You have the advantage of being able to move your eyes to the side to allow you to see further behind you. Owls cannot do that since their eyes are fixed in the socket and so must have more flexible necks to allow them to see behind them.
one of the four kumbh melas?
a)Varanasi
b)Kanchi
c)Ujjain
d)Gaya

'Ujjain' means the 'city of victory'.The origin of the Kumbh Mela dates back to the conflict between the gods and the demons over the possession of the "Amrit Kumbh", or the pot of immortal nectar. It appeared as a result of the churning of the milky ocean jointly by the gods and the demons. During the tussle, some drops of the amrit splashed from the pitcher fell at four places. These four places were: Allahabad, Haridwar, Nasik and Ujjain, the sacred sites for the Kumbh Mela. Since then, when the auspicious planets align in the same position, devotees come together to commemorate this divine feature. Kumbh Mela takes place every three years in rotation in the four sacred places

Instead preventative drugs must be taken continuously to reduce the risk of infection. These prophylactic drug treatments are simply too expensive for most people living in endemic areas. Malaria infections are treated through the use of antimalarial drugs, such as chloroquine or pyrimethamine, although drug resistance is increasingly common.

9)Which of these Persian faith mean "divine faith"?
a)Shubha Kher
b)Insha allah
c)Khosh Amadeed
d)Din-e-llahi

Dīn-i Ilāhī (Arabic: دين إلهي ) "Divine Faith" was a syncretic elitist religious cult propounded by the Mughal emperor Jalālu d-Dīn Muħammad Akbar ("Akbar the Great") intended to merge the best elements of the religions of his empire (primarily Hinduism and Islām; elements were also taken from Christianity, Jainism and Zoroastrianism) and thereby reconcile the sectarian differences that divided his subjects.Eventually, Akbar came up with his own "religion of god' Din-i-Ilahi, more a fraternal order, headed by himself, than a religion, based on a creed of harmony among peoples and a practice that involved making disciples of his leading nobles. Unsurprisingly, Muslim clerics saw this as blasphemy. Eventually, it became official policy to discourage, if not to prohibit, Islamic forms of prayer. Akbar paid the price in an abortive rebellion by his son, claiming to be a defender of the faith. Akbar softened towards Islam thereafter, and is thought to have died, in 1605, a Muslim, not an apostate
