Dr. Sumanth Raman shares an excellent rapport with his callers. "Sports Quiz" has a very racy format, though 60 per cent is related to cricket." If you are an avid watcher of the quiz as i am,the quiz needs no explanation. But for the uninitiated i proceed on to describe the format, the nuances and the quiz itself.

The programme now has a standard format.Viewers have to chose a number and hence the type of question from a grid(called as the "picture board") consisting of 20 different squares.Every square has a different question.Straight drive,Connection Point,Two-in-one,Photo find,Sequence Surprise,Negative image,Chess puzzle,Jumbled joy are some of the types of questions in the quiz.

STRAIGHT DRIVE:Probably the simplest questions in the pack.Safest bet to take in the initial stages.

Rafael Nadal has "Vamos Rafa" ("Let's go Rafa") written on his shoes, a common exhortation by his fans.[15]
Despite being hailed as "King of Clay," Rafa suffered a couple of bagel sets (0-6) on his favorite surface, one to Guillermo Coria and the other to Roger Federer.
The asteroid 128036 Rafaelnadal is named in Nadal's honour.
Nadal holds the open-era record of most consecutive victories on a single surface. Between his losses to Igor Andreev in April 2005 and Roger Federer in May 2007, he won 81 clay court matches. He thus surpassed John McEnroe's 75-match streak record on indoor carpet.

At age 19 years, 1 month, and 22 days, Nadal became the third teenager in the history of the ATP computer rankings (since 1973) to reach World No. 2, joining Boris Becker (age 18 years, 9 months, and 17 days) and Björn Borg (age 18 years, 10 months, and 2 days) as the only teenagers to be ranked No. 2

SMS QUESTIONS:A series of 8 questions intertwined inbetween the main qustions.Initially only the first 15 msgs were considered for the draw and i got 4 prize at that time. Now with softwares and technical improvement 200+ entries compete for a single prize.Competition has become tougher boss...hmm...the good old days...

Sania will be guided on a temporary basis during the Grand Slam fortnight by Urpi, a former ATP Tour player who worked with women's singles champion Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and currently tied up with WTA players Flavia Pannetta and Virginia Ruano Pascual, who has 37 doubles titles to her credit. The last time Sania sought guidance from a renowned coach was from the legendary Tony Roche before the start of 2006 season.

Associazione Calcio Milan is an Italian football club based in Milan. They play in red and black stripes, giving them the nickname Rossoneri ("red-blacks"). The team is known colloquially as Milan, while its city rivals are known in English, simply as Inter. One of the most successful clubs in the world, A.C. Milan has won the prestigious UEFA Champions League (or equivalent) seven times, the World Club crown (Intercontinental Cup) 3 times, the Serie A title 17 times (only rivals Juventus F.C. have more Scudetti) and the Coppa Italia (Italian Cup) five times.
CHESS PUZZLE:This is the latest addition to the category of questions. You have to find the move which would mate the black or white in one move like in the following question the move to mate the white has to be guessed. In the following qstn u have to guess the move by whih black can mate the white. For all the Anands and the Kramniks.I dont favour this much.

FYI:FA Cup The Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup, is a knockout cup competition in English football, run by and named after The Football Association. (See National Football Cups, below, for similar competitions worldwide.)
The FA Cup is the oldest football competition in the world, commencing in 1871-72. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other there is the possibility for "giant-killers" from the lower divisions to eliminate top clubs from the tournament, though lower division teams rarely reach the final. A record 687 teams were accepted into the FA Cup in 2006-2007 (and 746 teams have applied for entry into the 2007-08 competition). In comparison, the League Cup can involve only the 72 members of The Football League (which organises the competition) and the 20 teams in the Premier League.

International Cricket Council (ICC) president Percy Sonn has died aged 57 the governing body announced in a statement from its Dubai headquarters on Sunday. Sonn had spent several days in a Cape Town hospital following complications after undergoing a minor colon operation.
